Rock Your School Day!

Students were treated to out-side-the-box learning experiences on Thursday as teachers found creative ways to teach and make learning fun for students. Mrs. Ashby and Ms. Bergstrom even dressed for the part!

Many thanks to the Salt Lake Astronomical Society who sent volunteers with their high-powered telescopes to allow our 6th graders and their families to view a unique perspective of the night sky. 6th grade teachers played music and had donuts, drinks & glow stuff for sale. It is a fun atmosphere for the entire family and the weather could not have been better to see Mars and the Hercules Nebula Cluster. This is the third year that our 6th grade teachers have organized this memorable experience for our graduating 6th graders. Thanks to everyone who came and we look forward to having next year's 6th graders and their families join us.

To kick off our Safety Week, the PTA has arranged for Jason Hewlett to come provide a fun and entertaining program for our students. He is a big-time professional entertainer who is providing this experience for our students at no charge (because our school won an online participation contest - thanks to our awesome parents for getting involved on this one).

D track students will be off, but are invited to come back for this one IF they are accompanied by a parent. Seating will be available in the back of the gym for our D track friends.

The assembly will begin promptly at 9:30 am.
