Reflections * (K-6th)
National PTA Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. The program was developed to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork. Each year, students in Grades Pre-K through 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through film production, dance choreography, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

The Great Brain Project (1st-2nd)
To become a Great Brain, a child chooses a topic in which he or she is interested, researches the topic in‐depth using a variety of sources and keeping careful records of all findings. The child then plans and makes a presentation before an authentic school audience of classmates and other invited guests. A Great Brain research project is more intensive than regularly assigned schoolwork. Curiosity, creativity, commitment, and perseverance are needed to complete such an independent study. A strict set of guidelines and steps must be followed to accomplish the goals of the project, but the rewards of accomplishment and self‐esteem that result are well worth the efforts of students and parents. For an exciting adventure in learning, we invite you to begin a Great Brain research project.
