Music (K-6th)
Every student participates in our music program which is taught by our Beverly Taylor Sorensen Learning Arts teacher. The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTSALP) provides arts-integrated instruction to elementary students, effectively increasing student performance in every subject—from language arts and social studies to math and science. Students in grades 4-6 also have the option to perform in school choir.
STEM (1st-6th)
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.
STEM education is the intentional integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and their associated practices to create a student-centered learning environment in which students investigate and engineer solutions to problems, and construct evidence-based explanations. The key term, when talking about STEM, is integration.
