Student Enrichment Programs

Music (K-6th)
Every student participates in our music program which is taught by our Beverly Taylor Sorensen Learning Arts teacher. The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTSALP) provides arts-integrated instruction to elementary students, effectively increasing student performance in every subject—from language arts and social studies to math and science.

STEM (1st-6th)
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.
STEM education is the intentional integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and their associated practices to create a student-centered learning environment in which students investigate and engineer solutions to problems, and construct evidence-based explanations. The key term, when talking about STEM, is integration.

ELevAtE (1st-6th)
ELevAtE stands for English Language Arts Enrichment.  In this class students have the chance to learn to debate, write and tell their own stories, explore language, and research topics they are interested in.  The lessons cover the new ELA standards in speaking, listening, reading and writing.  Elevate engages students, enriches their understanding and extends their skills.
